Directions to the Board Office
From the Southwest (Cincinnati)

Following are written directions to the Board office, designed for persons who are unfamiliar with downtown Columbus.

Here are some general traffic hints for downtown Columbus travel:
1. Broad Street traffic travels in both directions.
2. Third Street traffic travels one way south.
3. State Street traffic travels in both directions east of High Street, and one way west between High Street and Front Street.
4. Front Street traffic travels one way north.
5. Main Street traffic travels one way east.
6. Rich Street traffic travels one way west.
7. Long Street traffic travels one way east.
8. High Street traffic travels in both directions.
9. Fourth Street traffic travels one way north.

DESTINATIONS

Vern Riffe Center Parking Garage:
1. Take I-71 North to I-70 East (first exit past Greenlawn Avenue-lane change may be necessary before exit).
2. Take I-70 East to the Front Street/High Street exit. The Front Street/High Street exit is the first exit past the I-71 South exit. A lane change is necessary after the I-71 South exit. Front Street is the first traffic light.
3. Turn left on Front Street, and proceed on Front Street (right lane) past Fulton Street, Mound Street, Main Street, Rich Street, Town Street, and State Street to the Vern Riffe Center Parking Garage.

City Center Mall:
1. Take I-71 North to I-70 East (first exit past Greenlawn Avenue-lane change may be necessary before exit).
2. Take I-70 East to the Front Street/High Street exit. The Front Street/High Street exit is the first exit past the I-71 South exit. A lane change is necessary after the I-71 South exit. Front Street is the first traffic light.
3. Turn left on Front Street, and proceed on Front Street (right lane) past Fulton Street and Mound Street to Main Street.
4. Turn right on Main Street, and proceed on Main Street (left lane) past High Street to City Center Parking Garage.
5. Turn left into the garage and park either on Garage Level 3 or Garage Level 4.
6. Walk through the Rich street breezeway (from Garage Level 3 or Garage Level 4) to the City Center Mall (Mall Level 3).
7. Walk through the City Center Mall and proceed to Mall Level 2. Mall Level 2 is accessible by elevator (center of the mall) or escalator (Near Rich Street breezeway entrance and at west end of Mall Level 3).
8. The west mall exit on Mall Level 2 is High Street.
9. Walk north on High Street to State Street. 77 South High Street is on opposite corner.

Directions back to I-70 West:

From Front Street (Vern Riffe Center):
1. Turn right on Front Street and proceed to Broad Street.
2. Turn right on Broad Street, and proceed on Broad Street (right lane) past High Street to Third Street.
3. Turn right on Third Street, and proceed on Third Street (right lane) past State Street, Town Street, Rich Street, Main Street, Mound Street, and Fulton Street to I-70 West exit. The I-70 West exit ramp is immediately south of Fulton Street. Use care when approaching Fulton Street.
4. Proceed on I-70 West exit ramp. Merge for on-ramp traffic is necessary.

NOTE: I-71 South exit is a left lane exit on I-70 West. Changing lanes is necessary to reach the I-71 South exit ramp. There should be ample time to change lanes as the I-71 South exit ramp is approximately one mile from the I-70 West on-ramp.

From Rich Street (City Center Mall):
1. Turn left on Rich Street, and proceed on Rich Street (left lane) to High Street.
2. Turn left on High Street, and proceed on High Street (left lane) to Main Street.
3. Turn left on Main Street, and proceed on Main Street (right lane) to Third Street.
4. Turn right on Third Street, and proceed on Third Street (right lane) past Mound Street and Fulton Street to I-70 West exit. The I-70 West exit ramp is immediately south of Fulton Street. Use care when approaching Fulton Street.
5. Proceed on I-70 West exit ramp. Merge for on-ramp traffic is necessary.

NOTE: I-71 South exit is a left lane exit on I-70 West. Changing lanes is necessary to reach the I-71 South exit ramp. There should be ample time to change lanes as the I-71 South exit ramp is approximately one mile from the I-70 West on-ramp.

From Main Street (City Center Mall):
1. Turn left on Main Street, and proceed on Main Street (right lane) to Third Street. It is necessary to cross two lanes of traffic to reach the rightmost lanes of Main Street as Third Street is less than a block from the City Center Parking Garage exit. If, due to heavy traffic, the rightmost lanes of Main Street cannot be entered, proceed on Main Street (left lane) past Third Street to Fourth Street, turn left on Fourth Street, proceed on Fourth Street (left lane) to Rich Street, turn left on Rich Street, proceed on Rich Street (left lane) to Third Street, and turn left on Third Street.
2. Take Third Street (right lane) past Mound Street and Fulton Street to I-70 West exit. The I-70 West exit ramp is immediately south of Fulton Street. Use care when approaching Fulton Street.
3. Proceed on I-70 West exit ramp. Merge for on-ramp traffic is necessary.

NOTE: I-71 South exit is a left lane exit on I-70 West. Changing lanes is necessary to reach the I-71 South exit ramp. There should be ample time to change lanes as the I-71 South exit ramp is approximately one mile from the I-70 West on-ramp.

NOTE: The terms "right lane" and "left lane" refer, normally, to the second to right lane and second to left lane, respectively. The leftmost and rightmost lanes of one-way streets in downtown Columbus are normally reserved for parking during non-peak traffic hours (9 AM to 4 PM).
